Terms of Business and Conditions of Sale
Ownership in the goods shall pass to the Buyer on payment thereof. Payment by cheque shall constitute payment thereunder only on clearance of the cheque and until payment in full has been made for the goods we shall have the right to repossess them and to enter on the premises of the Buyer for this purpose and in the event of the Buyer having disposed of the goods prior to payment in circumstances where ownership has passed to a third party the proceeds shall be held by the Buyer as Trustee for us until such time as full payment of the original goods has been duly made.
The risk of any loss or damage due to deterioration of the goods once they have been delivered from whatever cause the deterioration might arise (other than inherent defect) shall fall upon the Buyer..

We would like to remind our customers that timber is an organic product, subject to naturally occurring changes that result from different or changing conditions i.e. changes in colour, surface, splits and shrinkage. We cannot accept any responsibility for these natural changes.
Notification of any complaint or shortage should be phoned into our office ( 01945 410 361) within 3 days of delivery and confirmed in writing within 14 days of the date of delivery, in the event of glass this period is reduced to 48 hours.
It is recommended that the customer makes a thorough inspection on delivery or as soon as possible after delivery, and to right any comments about shortages or breakages on the delivery note before signing it and to get the driver to countersign and confirm your comments.
Full payment is required for most products upon placing an order online with the exception of:
All 'specials' must be paid for in full at the time of order.
Special arrangement to pay a deposit with the balance being due prior to delivery
Payment of any balance owing falls due prior to delivery and will be asked for at the time of delivery confirmation. The order form in most cases is the invoice for the goods, we do not issue any further invoice or send statements. We reserve the right to charge interest on any overdue accounts at the rate of 2% per month.
Construction and Erection:
Barretts Leisure do not undertake any construction or erection of the buildings the company supplies. We can assist with suggestions of qualified third party erectors to erect within a 50 mile radius of our show site at Wisbech, in Cambridgeshire.
Nor will the company, under any circumstances, be held responsible for any faults or complaints regarding the erection or construction of any building/s by the manufacturer or a third party, any default/s relating to the construction must be referred to the Construction company concerned. Or in the event of a manufacturing fault we will contact the manufacturing company concerned on your behalf.
All foundation or base work is the responsibility of the customer or their builder, as is the safe securing of the building once erected.
The delivery driver will need a clear access to your property.
Under Health and Safety rules boxes and glass cannot be lifted over fences or buildings such as garages. If the only access is through the house, a straight run is required, as many of the boxes are long and cannot be bent.
Please advise us in advance if there are any difficulties regarding access either to your property or narrow roads.
We reserve the right to vary these conditions of sale and the specification of goods sold, materials used or the design of construction of any structure to a degree dictated by the materials available from time to time. Customers will be notified of any substantial variations and in the event of there being substantial variation given the option to cancel the order.
We reserve the right to charge interest on any overdue account at the rate of 2% per month.
The placing of the order constitutes acceptance of the above conditions.

If physical goods are returned the purchaser will pay the return carriage costs and there will be a deduction to cover the carriage and other expenses according to British law.
